The following CS Syllabus is prescribed by Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). Approved by the syllabus review committee this program of study is point of reference for aspirants in various aspects of secretarial practice. The syllabus for CS Foundation course is broadly divided into four main sections

• Business Environment and Entrepreneurship (50 questions and 100 marks).

• Business Management, Ethics and Communication (50 questions and 100 marks).

• Business Economics (50 questions and 100 marks).

• Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing (50 questions and 100 marks).

CS Online Application forms are available on ICSI official website. Candidates can submit their application for the CS exam both online and offline. However irrespective of the mode of submission the steps for application followed clearly and completed accordingly. Following is a step by step procedure for application both through online and offline means.

Firstly through online mean

• STEP 01: Create a Login ID: For this you are required to enter personal details like name, date of birth, email ID and mobile number. Once you complete this initial registration you will be issued an Login ID and password.
• STEP 02: Login and read through the instructions for online application. Login using your email ID and password and read through the instruction for online application.
• STEP 03: After doing so click on My account under students menu as shown in menu.
• STEP 04: Click on examination enrollment menu and then click submit examination form option or click the direct link for “Click here for enrollment”
• STEP 05: Now you will see the option to proceed to fill the form or cancel the same.
• STEP 06:  In this step you are required to select the center medium and the module of examination. In this step you are also required to select the mode of payment for the application fee.
• STEP 07: After fee payment your transaction ID and request ID along with details like name, address, city, state, country, mobile number and email ID will appear on screen. Verify the same and download details

(Please note that no updates will be allowed after payment of fees. If there are any changes and updates after the same you are required to pay Rs 250/-additional fee).

• STEP 08: You will receive confirmation on email ID or mobile.
• STEP 09: In case of payment through debit or credit card you may proceed for payment through internet banking facility.
• STEP 10: Finally after successful payment of receipt of payment details can be generated online.

Please note that you are not required to submit any documents through the online process of application.

Offline Means

Aspirants wishing  to seek admission in CS Foundation Programme are required to submit the prescribed registration form along with the requisite fee and copy (ies) of the documents i.e. Date of Birth Certificate (10th) and 10+2 Pass Certificate/Mark Sheet (Admit Card/ Hall Ticket in case appearing in the Senior Secondary Examinations) at Headquarters, Regional Offices & selected Chapter Offices).
