Applications are invited from candidates wishing to work with SBI as PO. Graduates in any stream or those with an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for SBI PO Recruitment 2014. A total of 1837 vacancies have been notified for recruitment. Recruitment examination for this job opportunity will be conducted tentatively in the month of June 2014. Eligibility Criteria:-

Educational qualification:-

• Graduation (degree) or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Those in their final year/semester of graduation are also eligible to apply provided that, if they are selected for interview they produce the proof of having passed graduation exam.

Age: Aspirants aged between 21 and 30 years of age are eligible to apply for SBI PO Recruitment 2014.

•PWD (OBC)- 13 years
•PWD (Gen)- 10 years

How to apply for SBI PO Recruitment 2014?:-


Following are some instructions which are to be carefully followed before and during SBI PO exam 2014-15 online application

Before the SBI PO Exam online application procedure please

-First scan your photograph and signature as detailed under guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature.
-Create an email-ID in case you do not have one.

During the SBI PO Exam 2014 online application procedure you will be required to

• Log on to www.statebankofindia.com / www.sbi.co.in.
• Click on the link Recruitment
• Click on the first link of Recruitment of Probationary Officers in State Bank of India (2014-15)
• After this, click on the link "Apply Online" (dates for online application: 07.04.2014 onwards)
• Fill in the required details and click on the submit button when you are done.
• Note down your provisional registration number and password created by the system.

(You can reopen the saved data using your registration number and password and edit details if necessary. This facility is available only for three times)

Application Fee:-

For SC/ST/PWD - Rs 100/- (intimation Charges Only).
• For General and others Rs 500/- (application fee including intimation charges).


Modes of payment of application fee:

Offline mode: The system will generate a cash voucher/ challan form pre-printed with the candidate's details which will be required to be presented at any State Bank of India branch counter with the requisite fee. On payment of the requisite fee through computer generated challan form, registration of the online application will be complete.

Online mode: Payment can be made by using a debit card/ credit card or internet banking facility.

SBI PO Selection Procedure: The procedure for selection consist of two stages

•Phase-I Examination consisting Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks.

Objective Test will be online. Candidates will have to answer descriptive test in offline (pen-paper) mode.

(i) The objective test will be of two hours duration and will consist of 4 sections with 50 objective type questions. The total marks for this paper is 200 marks.

A) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, comprehension etc.)
B) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
C) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
D) Test of Reasoning (High Level)


Candidates are required to qualify in each of the tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

Immediately after online objective test, descriptive test will be administered.
Descriptive Test will be one hour duration and will consist of 50 marks.The test will include Test of English language (comprehension, short précis, letter writing & Essay).

•Phase-II Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)
