About NID DAT 2015:-


National Institute of Design is not only India’s best but also ranks high among the best design institutes in the world.  NID DAT 2015 Entrance exam is the best kick-start  for a career in design. NID conducts this exam for its four year graduate Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs offered by Ahmedabad campus and two and half year post graduate Master of Design (M.Des.) programs at Ahmedabad Gandhinagar & Bengaluru campuses.



Important Dates for NID DAT 2015:

  • Last date for receiving the completed application forms at NID is:- November 21, 2014 (Friday)
  • DAT 2015 for B. Des. (at all centres):- JANUARY 11, 2015 (Sunday).
  • DAT 2015 for M. Des (at all centres):- JANUARY 10, 2015.(Saturday)

Educational Qualification for B.Des: 10+2 from recognized board or university or equivalent qualification like AISSCE/IB or ISE.

a. Upper age limit: 20 years
b. Relaxation in age:by 3 years in case of reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification for M.Des: Bachelors degree in concerned discipline from recognized university.

a. Upper age Limit: 30 years
b. Relaxation in age: by 3 years for SC/ST candidates.

Important Instructions for SC/ST and OBC candidates

a. Reserved category candidates are required to submit caste or category certificates. These relevant certificates and documents must be as per the rules and regulations prescribed by the Government of India.
b. Other Backward class candidates are required to submit non-creamy layer certificate issued by the Collectorate. For the format of the same click here
c. PH or Physically handicapped candidates are required to submit a certificate from the Chief Medical Officer (minimum 40 percent disability).

  • Self attested copies of SSC & HSC marksheets (those who are studying presently in HSC, must submit bonafide certificate from the school/ college).
  • Self attested copy of relevant certificate indicating Date of Birth (Upper age limit as on 1st June, 2015 is 20 years for General category– Relaxable by 3 years for Reserved categories).
  • For General Category: The candidates born before 1st June, 1995 are not eligible.
  • For Reserved Categories: The candidates born before 1st June, 1992 are not eligible.
  • Self attested copy of relevant Caste/Category certificate issued by competent authority for SC/ST/PH/OBC non-creamy layer candidates wherever applicable.

About CTET 2014: 

If teaching is where you're calling lies then CTET exam is an important step towards this calling. A B.Ed qualification does offer academic competence but this exam conducted by the CBSE is a career fulfilling option. CTET certificate secures your future career prospects and enables you to apply for recruitment to classes I-VIII of schools under CTET.


Salient features of the exam:-

•This is also the only professional exam in the country whose scores are deemed valid for a period of seven years from the date of declaration of results in all categories. 
•There is no restriction on the number of attempts for CTET certificate. Applicants may appear again in a bid to improve scores.

Eligibility for CTET 2014:

•Eligibility for aspirants wishing to teach classes I to IV
Senior Secondary/intermediate pass pursuing or completed two year diploma program in elementary education.
•Aggregate- Minimum 50 percent marks. 

Eligibility for aspirants wishing to teach classes V to VIII
Graduation in any discipline pursuing or completed a two year diploma program in elementary education.
•Aggregate- Minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks. 
•Age-Applicants aged between 18 to  40 years of age are eligible to apply.
•Relaxation in age- As per government rules.  

How to apply:-
Listed below is a Step by Step Guide for applying for CTET 2014
STEP 01- Log on to CTET official website
STEP 02- Fill in the details of  CTET online application form
STEP 03- Check through the form carefully and edit changes
STEP 04-On successful submission of the form a confirmation page with registration number will be generated. 
STEP 05-Take two printouts of this page.
STEP 06- Keep one for reference. The other needs to be sent by post.
STEP 07- Paste recent passport sized photograph on the form to be sent.
STEP 08- Payment of fee for the exam can be done either through challan or debit or credit card. 
STEP 09-The confirmation page with pasted photograph and relevant documents need to be sent either by registered or ordinary post to address mentioned.

Number of Students Appeared and Results:
9,00, 000 (nine lakh) candidates appeared for CTET 2013 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education on 28th July 2013. The CTET 2013 result was record breaking as  a total of 11 percent of candidates who appeared, cleared the test. Following is  the pass percentage of the last two years
