About:-

The University of Hyderabad formerly known as Hyderabad Central University largely devoted to postgraduate and doctoral studies. Since its inception in the year 1974, it offers 150 programmes of study ranging from doctoral studies to Masters level degrees, as well as post graduate diplomas and short term courses through the distance mode. It also has 5-year Integrated Masters Programme.

• Forms for numerous programmes offered in the university can be collected from the campus itself.
• All the documents, admission fees and form must be submitted by the applicants in the admin office on or before the last date.

Campus:-

The university campus has 24 hours surveillance and is connected on 1 Gbit/s NKN connectivity, and is Wi-fi enabled. The Indira Gandhi Memorial Library within the campus has 350,000 books and other reference materials, and subscribes to about 600 foreign journals and 18,000 online journals and 10 online databases. The library is computerised, with software for visually-challenged students, and operates through the week. The campus is also equipped with solar power source, hostels, canteen, sports complex, etc for students.

Special Features:-

• In 2012, the university was ranked seventh, ahead of the Indian Institute of Science, as published by India Today.
• With 46 departments and centres organised in 11 schools of study, the latest addition to the schools list is the School of Economics, inaugurated on 22 October 2012.
• UoH has been recognised through a grading of A, which is the highest, by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
