Eligibility:-
Candidate must require a master degree from Madras University or any other recognized university with not less than 50% marks if the master’s degree prior to 1st January 1991. If the candidate has achieved its master’s degree on or after 1st January 1991 must have secured a minimum of 55% marks.
Madras University MPhil Admission Procedure:
Admission into the M. Phil degree program is done as per the rules and regulations of the university. The university conducts its own entrance test for admission to this program. The criteria of marks for selection is as follows
• Qualifying Examination- 50 marks
• Entrance Examination- 40 marks (50 percent weightage in terms of total marks for the exam).
• Interview marks- 10 marks
• Total- 100 marks
Question Paper Pattern:-
• Total Marks- 80
• Total Duration- 2 hours
• Part I- 60 Multiple Choice Questions on current affairs related to commerce (60 marks)
• Part II- 2 questions each of 100 words for Contemproary Trends in Negative Marking- Please note that there is no negative marking for MCQ
Application Process:-
Candidates must collect the application form from the university office in person at a cost of Rs. 300. This form is to be duly filled and submitted at the university office attested with the required documents mentioned on it. Candidates must read the prospectus carefully before filling up the application form.
