APTET 2014 Exam Dates | Notification | Pattern


About APTET 2014:

Andhra Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test or APTET is an important  exam for B. Ed aspirants seeking to be recruited as school teachers in state run or private management schools in the state of Andhra Pradesh.  This Government of Andhra Pradesh conducts this examination  as per the regulations set by central authorities. This state level test is similar to the CTET in following ways

a)  Levels of Primary (I to V) and Upper primary (VI to VIII)

b)  Eligibility criteria:

c)   Exam pattern. (There are two papers. Candidates wishing to teach classes I to VIII are required to appear for both papers).

Candidates scoring a minimum of 60 percent marks in the APTET exam will be considered as APTET pass.

·  Zilla Parishad schools

·  Municipality schools

·  Private Aided Schools

·  Private unaided schools

Eligibility:-

For teachers in primary classes I to V-

a)      Intermediate/ Senior Secondary with two year diploma in education.

b)      Intermediate/ senior secondary with four year bachelor of elementary education.

c)      Intermediate/senior secondary with two year diploma in education (special education).

Candidates pursuing diploma and bachelors program study are also eligible to apply.

·  Aggregate- minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks.

For teachers in elementary classes VI to VIII-

a)      Graduation in any stream with a two year diploma in elementary education.

b)      Graduation in any stream with a one year B.Ed course

c)      Intermediate with graduate degree in education either B.Sc Ed or BA Ed.

Candidates pursuing final year diploma and bachelors program study are also eligible to apply.

Candidates pursuing Language Pandit Training Certificate (LPT) certificate or pursuing LPT course are also eligible to apply.

·   Age- Candidates aged between 18 and 40 years of age are eligible to apply.

·   Relaxations in age- As per government rules.

How to Apply:-
The Andhra Pradesh Government has facilitated application through both online and offline mode. The process for applying online for APTET is as follows

·  STEP 1- First log on to http://aptet.cgg.gov.in/

·  STEP 2- Next Click on “APTET application form” link

·  STEP 3- Fill in the required information in the blanks provided for the same.

·  STEP 4- Upload photograph and signature during application.

·  STEP 5- Check through the form carefully and if any changes edit the same

·  STEP 6- Click on Submit button

·  STEP 7- Take a print out of the filled in application form.

APTET Registration Fee- Candidates are required to pay Rs 200 as an APTET registration fee. Payment of the same can be made through AP online or through e-Seva centers aptet.cgg.gov.in.

APTET 2014 Paper Pattern:


·  Paper Type- Multiple choice type questions (MCQ)

·  Questions- 150 MCQ

·  Duration- Two hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes)

·  Paper I- For aspirants wishing to teach classes I to V.
