North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) is a unique Institute of its own kind in the country, having unconventional and innovative academic programmes. It came into existence in the year 1986 by the Government of India with an objective to impart quality education with flexible multi-entry/exit systems to cater to the needs of the region.

How to apply:-
• Students can apply to NERIST by downloading the admission form from the official website of the university or one can collect the prospectus cum application form from the university campus itself.
• Duly filled form, registration fees, required certificates and other documents must be submitted to the office on or before the last date of the submission.

Criteria for Admissions:-
• Admission will be done strictly on the merit basis of the entrance test conducted by the university.
• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested must be submitted during the time of admission.
• Eligibility rules as specified for each course shall be strictly followed and shall not be relaxed under any circumstance.

NERIST provides excellent academic and administrative facilities on campus. It offers students with an infrastructure for learning as well as facilities for simplifying the procurement of essential commodities and services. The campus rambled over an area of 512 acres of land includes facilities such as pollution free environment, air conditioned classrooms, library, separate hostel for boys and girls, transportation, sports activities, stationary and communication centre, gym, health centre, canteen, cafeteria, etc.
