Bachelor of Computer Application is undoubtedly one of the most popular of undergraduate courses offered by Thiruvalluvar University.Thiruvalluvar University BCA course follows Choice based credit system (CBCS). The duration of this course is three years divided into six semesters.The basic objective of this course is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical training with an effective study pattern.The minimum eligibility for candidates applying for this course is pre-degree (Class 12) with either maths/statistics or computer science as a subject in the qualifying examination.

Candidate seeking admission to the first year of this UG Degree Course should have passed the Higher Secondary Course Examination (Academic or Vocational) Conducted by the Govt. of Tamilnadu with Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Commerce / Accountancy as a subject or any other Examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate subject to such other conditions as may Degree Examination of this University after the completion of the Course of three Academic Years in this University / Colleges affiliated to this University and sh all qualify for the B.C.A. Degree
