WBJEE 2015 Exam Dates | Notification | Pattern
WBJEE Exam is an important combined entrance examination conducted for engineering and medical admission in West Bengal. Administered by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board this state government controlled test is used for admission to undergraduate course of engineering, technology, pharmacy, architecture, medicine and dentistry across government and private colleges in West Bengal. This exam is open to students of West Bengal Council for Higher Education and ISC board.Proposed changes in WBJEE exam:-
• Students who have studied allied subjects of Chemistry like Computer Science/Mechanics/Biotechnology are also eligible to apply for WBJEE.
• The minimum aggregate for these subjects is 45 percent.
• Increase in number of two mark multiple choice questions.
• Decrease in number of questions.
• Increase in difficulty level of exam.
• Weightage of marks for subjects of Physics and Chemistry has increased from 50 to 75 marks.
• WBJEE will be conducted for admission to medical courses.
• Exam would be conducted on two different days.
• Possibility of change in WBJEE syllabus.

Eligibility for WBJEE
• Domicile: Candidate must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
• Minimum age: 17 years.
• Educational Qualification: Class 12 of WBCHE/ISC or any recognized educational board in India with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Biology.
• Candidates who have studied subjects of Computer Science, Mechanics or Bio-Technology are eligible to apply.
• Minimum aggregate: 45 percent.
How to apply for WBJEE
Following is a step by step procedure for WBJEE 2014:-
1. Log on West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination board official website. (www.wbjeeb.in)
2. Fill in details in WBJEE online application form.
3. Submit the form and you will be directed to WBJEE 2014 application fee payment page.
4. Note the unique seven digit registration number obtained on submission of registration form.
5. Make payment of application fee.
6. Take printout of confirmation page and top sheet to be stapled with enclosure.
7. Send application form along with following important documents by speed post to WBJEE office.
Following documents to be attached with confirmation page:-
• Duly signed top sheet
• Copy of WBJEE 2014 application fee receipt or e-challan
• Copy of Class 10 admit card (hall ticket)
• Category certificate in case of SC/ST candidates. (if applicable)
• PWD certificate (if applicable)
• Domicile certificate (if applicable)
• TFW certificate (if applicable)
WBJEE application fee:-
WBJEE 2014 application is Rs 500 (rupees five hundred only). You can choose any one of the following modes for payment of application fee.
Bank Challan
• Take a print out of the bank challan of Allahabad Bank.
• Student’s personal particulars will be printed on e-challan.
• Application fee must be remitted at nearest Core Banking Facility (CBF) of Allahabad Bank.
• Once payment is done login and enter fee details before taking print of Confirmation page.
E-Post Office
• Choose option to print receipt needed to make payment of application fee.
• Payment of application fee has to be made at the nearest connectivity enable E-post office.
• Once payment is done login to your account and enter details in order to take printout of confirmation page.
Paper Pattern for WBJEE:
• Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
• Sections of paper: 03
• Sections: Physics, Chemistry, (Maths/ Biology)
• Changes in paper pattern:
a) Weightage of marks in case of Physics of Chemistry has been increased to 75 marks.
b) Increase in number of two mark questions.
c) Increase in the level of difficulty.
