CRPF Special Recruitment Drive for Direct Recruitment Post of ASI/STENO 2014 Notification, Application Procedure

Central Reserve Police Force has announced special recruitment drive for the filling the up of reserved/backlog and current vacancies for the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (Steno) in CRPF. A total of 271 vacancies have been notified for direct recruitment. Interested and eligible individuals wishing to apply for CRPF Special  Recruitment Drive for Direct Recruitment  Post of ASI/STENO are required to submit their application latest by March 10, 2014 (Monday).

Current vacancies:-

• Post:Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno)
• Organization: Central Reserve Police Force
• Total number of vacancies: 271 (open market= 268, ex-servicemen=3)
• Payscale: Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-

Eligibility conditions:-

•Age: Candidates aged between 18 and 25 years of age as on 10/03/2014
•Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
•Educational qualification: Intermediate (10+2) exam from a board or university recognized by the central government in India.
•Physical standards:
- All candidates (expect SC/ST): Male (165 cms), Female (155 cms)
- SC/ST candidates: Male (162.5), Female (150 cms)

Relaxation : Candidates falling in the categories of Garwalies, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the state of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir: Male (162.5 cms) Female (150 cms)

Chest (For male candidates only)

All except Scheduled Tribe candidates Unexpanded- 77 Cms (with minimum 5 Cms expansion)

Scheduled Tribes candidates Unexpanded- 76 Cms (with minimum 5 Cms expansion)

Weight: Proportionate/Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards. Over/under weight will be disqualification at the stage of medical examination only.

Medical Standard: Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, squint in eyes or varicose vein and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties

Visual Standard:-

The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye without correction i.e. without wearing glasses or lenses.

Color blindness is a disqualification.

How to apply for CRPF Special Recruitment Drive for Direct Recruitment Post of ASI/STENO 2014:-

Interested and eligible candidates wishing to apply for required to submit their application in the given format.

Applications form duly complete in all respects and  affixed with latest photographs (which should be self attested) be sent to any of the following application receiving centres alongwith attested photocopies of documents. Candidates have the choice of appearing at any of the following recruitment centers.

Application fee for exam is Rs 100 payable in the form of demand draft or postal order drawn in favor of DIGP, GC. CRPF of concerned application centers.



Procedure of selection:-

Recruitment shall be held in two phases as under:-

A. FIRST PHASE:-

Scrutiny/checking of certificates/documents
Physical Measurement
Written examination.

B. SECOND PHASE:-

Skill test ( i.e. Stenography/short hand test)
Interview
Medical examination

Exam will be held for 200 marks as below:

Part -I: Hindi/English Language
Part -II: General Intelligence
Part -III: Numerical Aptitude
Part -IV: Clerical Aptitude

Question paper in all four parts will contain objective type questions with each part containing 50 questions. Qualifying marks for candidates belonging to General category will be 40% and for SC/ST/OBC candidates 35%.

Skill Test

Dictation : 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute
Transcription time :- 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer
