Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Recruitment 2014 Notification, Application Procedure
Indian Coast Guard is accepting online job applications from three year technical diploma holders for recruitment as yantrik in 02/2014 batch of the coast guards. Interested and eligible unmarried male Indian nationals wanting to apply can do so online on www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in between February 10-17, 2014. Candidates will be selected based on performance in the written test, physical fitness test (PFT) and medical examination.Important dates for Indian Coast Guard Yantrik Recruitment 2014:-

•Job Profile: Yantriks (Mechanics) are responsible for operation and mainteance of machinery and equipment fitted on Indian coast guard ships and aircrafts.
•Who can apply: Diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical,Electronics and aeronautical branches of engineering are eligible to apply.
Eligibility Criteria:-
•Age Limit:- Candidates aged between 18 and 22 years are eligible to apply.
Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates.
•Educational Qualification:- Matriculate and three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engg. with 60% in aggregate from board/institute recognised by state or central government .
(Maximum 5% relaxation in the above percentage for SC/ ST candidates, sports person of National level and wards of Coast Guard uniformed personnel deceased while in service).
Medical Standards
•Height.Minimum height 157 cms.
(Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with government rules.
•Chest - Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
•Weight:- Proportionate to height and age + 10% acceptable. Hearing: normal
•Visual Standards- 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for Better Eye and Worse Eye respectively

STEP 01: Logon to http://www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in and click on "opportunities" button.
STEP 02: Select advertisement Yantrik (3 year Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronic Diploma holders – 02/2014 batch).
STEP 03: Select any one of the following posts
(aa) Yantrik Technical (Mechanical)
(ab) Yantrik Technical (Electrical)
(ac) Yantrik Technical (Electronics )
STEP 04: Read instructions and click on "I agree" button and the online application form will be displayed.
STEP 05: Fill in the online application form (All star marked * entries need to be compulsorily filled).
STEP 06: Check through details carefully before submitting online application form.
STEP 07: Note registration number obtained on successful submission of application.
STEP 08: Take two printouts of the filled in application form with number and affix passport sized photograph on both forms.
STEP 09: One copy needs with photocopies should be submitted at recruitment center on the date of the exam.
STEP 10: Second copy is to be kept as identity proof for recruitment .

•Original certificate of tenth class for date of birth verification.
•Diploma certificate showing percentage of marks
•Proof of identity such as passport, driving license, Aadhar card/ voter I card, School/ college ID card or any other photo identity proof.
