Shobhit University was started at Meerut by NICE Society in the year 2006 with a vision to develop a centre of excellence in the emerging areas of technology. University Grants Commission (UGC) granted Deemed-to-be University status to Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology in the year 2006.

Criteria for Admissions:-
• Selection of the candidates is done on the merit marks of the common entrance test by the university.
• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested must be submitted during the time of admission.
• Along with the merit marks, university will also follow the eligibility criteria set for each of the courses offered by them.
