UPTET 2014 Exam Dates | Notification | Pattern
Are you interested in teaching? Are you from the State of Uttar Pradesh? If your answer to both these questions is yes then Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is a must. UPTET Exam is a teacher eligibility test for candidates wishing to teach the following classes•Primary Classes I to V
•Language Teacher for primary classes
•Upper Primary Classes VI to VIII
•Language Teacher for upper primary classes.
The exam is conducted by the Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari of Uttar Pradesh on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board. The exam is conducted as per the rules and regulations of the NCTE for TET.As mentioned this exam is very important for B.Ed candidates wishing to apply for teacher jobs in Uttar Pradesh in government and privately managed schools.

• Date of publication of advertisement: December 12, 2013 (Thursday)
• Start date for online application: December 12,2013 (Thursday)
• Last date for online application: January 6,2014 (Monday)
• Date for making correction in online application form: January 7,2014 (Tuesday)
• Announcement for UPTET Exam 2014: January 25,2014 (Saturday)
• Date for download of UPTET Admit Card 2014: February 6,2014 (Thursday)
• Answer Key for the exam: February 28, 2014 (Friday)
• Updated answer key for the exam: March 10,2014 (Monday)

How to apply for UPTET 2014
Following is a step by step procedure for applying for UPTET 2014.
• STEP 01:Log on to official website for UPTET Exam 2014.
• STEP 02: Read through instructions carefully before online registration.
• STEP 03: Click on the link “Apply online”
• STEP 04: Fill in details carefully in the UPTET online application form
• STEP 05: Check through application details carefully before form submission.
• STEP 06: Submit form
• STEP 07: Make payment of application fee using e-challan.
• STEP 08: Upload photograph and signature.
• STEP 09: Take a printout of the completed online application form.
Application Fee:-
• General Category candidates: Rs 300/-(rupees three hundred only).
• SC/ST category candidates: Rs 150/-(rupees one hundred and fifty only).
Application fee for UPTET 2014 has to be deposited in the bank using e-challan.
UPTET Paper Pattern:
• Duration of exam: 150 minutes (1 hour and 30 mins)
• Total Number of questions: 150 questions
• The questions will be on Child Nutrition (30 questions of one mark each), Comprehension (30 marks),Hindi Grammar (30 marks), Language Expression (60 questions of one mark each).
• Essay type questions has been replaced with language expression.
Paper I: For candidates wishing to become teachers for classes I-V in Uttar Pradesh primary school.
Paper II: For candidates wishing to become teachers for classes between VI and VIII in Uttar Pradesh upper primary school.
Paper I and II: For those candidates who interested in teaching from Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers and have to get qualifying marks to be considered for all the classes.
