The Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) is an advanced research institution started by the Reserve Bank of India in the year 1987. The Institute aims to carry out research on developmental issues from a multi-disciplinary point of view. It has one of the largest Social Sciences libraries in Asia.

How to apply:-
• Students can apply to University by downloading the admission form from the official website of the university or one can collect the prospectus cum application form from the university campus itself.
• Along with the form, students also have to submit the certificates asked by the university and the registration fees at the time of admission.

Students can pay the registration as well as course fees through Demand Draft in favour of "Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR)” payable at Mumbai.

Criteria for Admissions:-


• For any of the courses offered in the university, students will be appointed on the basis of their marks obtained in the previous years.
• Applicants need to follow all the eligible criteria fixed for the courses offered by the university.

Campus:-

The Institute is located on a 14 acre site on a hillside in Goregaon (Mumbai). The campus, whose architecture is inspired by the historical Elephanta and Jogeshwari caves, includes office buildings for research and administrative staff, several seminar rooms, a 500 seat auditorium, a library, a computer centre, a cafeteria and a guest house where visiting scholars are accommodated. There are also some recreational facilities which include swimming pool, a tennis court, an indoor badminton court, a table tennis room, a small jogging track, a fully equipped gym and a children's park at the Institute.
