Jai Prakash University (JPV) situated in Bihar was started in the year 1992 by the Government of Bihar in response to the needs of the people of Saran commissionary. It is recognised by the UGC as a state university and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities, having jurisdiction over the Saran Division, comprising the three districts of Saran, Siwan and Gopalganj.

How to apply:-
• Students can apply to University by collecting the prospectus cum application form from the university campus itself.
• All the documents, admission fees and form must be submitted by the applicants in the admin office on or before the last date.
Criteria for Admissions:-
• Admission in the university is concluded on the merit marks of the candidates.
• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested must be submitted during the time of admission.
• Each of the programme offered by the university has an eligibility which has to be fulfilled by the students during their admission.
