JKCET is a combined professional assessment conducted by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations. JKCET is conducted for admission to first year professional degree programmes of

• Bachelor of Agriculture B.Sc (Agriculture)
• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)
• Bachelor of Forestry
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS)
• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
• Bachelor of Animal Husbandry (B.AH)
• Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS)
• Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

JKCET score is used for admission to the following academic programmes in government and private medical courses in the state of Jammu Kashmir. This test is important as the state’s college’s do not accept any national level test for admission to professional courses after 12th. This test is held yearly at the start of the academic year.

  • Availability of online application forms: April 17, 2014 (Thursday) to May 03, 2014 (Sunday)
  • Sale of OMR application forms: April 21, 2014 (Monday) to May 05, 2014 (Monday)
  • Last date for submission of online application forms: May 05, 2014 (Monday) upto 05:00 pm
  • Last date for submission of OMR application forms: May 07,2014 (Wednesday).

Eligibility for JKCET:-

Educational Qualification: Class 12 (10+2) in science stream from recognized board or university.
Age: Candidate should have attained the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
Domicile: Candidate must be a permanent resident of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

How to apply for JKCET:-


JKCET application form be filled online or offline depending upon your convenience. Following is the procedure for both modes of application. 

OFFLINE
•Application form with information brochure is available at specified branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Limited. 
• Handwritten application form complete in all respects can be submitted in person or mailed through registered or speed post to any one of the following BOPEE offices between 10:00 am and 04:00 pm on working days.

ONLINE:
• Before you start filling the JKCET 2014 online application form please read through the instructions for application carefully. 
• Please note that entries once submitted in application form cannot be corrected at a later stage. 
• Your name and date of birth should be as recorded in your matriculation certificate. 
• After you submit your online application form you will  receive a confirmation page as an acknowledgement  of your registration (this page also includes your registration number). 
• Take a printout of this confirmation page. 
• Paste two passport sized photographs in the space provided for the same and submit the confirmation page in person or by registered or speed post (and not by courier) to the Controller of Examinations, The J&K Board of Professional Entrance  Examinations, 4 Floor South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu-180012 or Bhagat-i-Barzullah, Srinagar Opp. J&K Bank, , Srinagar-190005.

Online applicants for this exam are also required to 
a) attach required documents and certificates as mentioned in the JKCET 2014 Information brochure
b) attach a demand draft of Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of FA/CAO, BOPEE, payable at Jammu/ Srinagar.
c) mention registration number on the back side of the demand draft. 
d) keep a photocopy of the registration form for future reference.

e) keep a photocopy of the demand draft. 


Paper Pattern for JKCET

JKCET 2014 entrance examination with consists of three papers with objective type questions for each group. Each paper will have a total of 75 questions of one mark each. There will be a negative marking of 0.2 mark for each wrong answer. Subject combination, total marks and duration is as follows. 

PCB SECTION
  • Papers: 03
  • Subjects: (PCB) Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Marks:75 marks
  • Duration: 75 minutes (one hour and 15 minutes)


PCM SECTION
  • Papers: 03
  • Subjects: (PCM) Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Marks: 75 marks
  • Duration: 75 minutes (one hour and 15 minutes)
