The Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE) is the only Deemed University for fisheries science in India. It is an institution of higher learning for fisheries science in India and is one of the four main institutes under the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Criteria for Admissions:-
• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested must be submitted during the time of admission.

• Selection of the candidates is done on the merit marks by the university.
