JEE Advanced 2014 Exam Dates | Notification | Pattern

If JEE Mains is the semifinal encounter to be considered for admission to IIT colleges in India, JEE Advanced Exam is the final frontier for IIT aspirants. Candidates who clear the JEE main exam earn the exclusive right to appear for JEE advanced exam. The top 1,50,000 candidates shortlisted on the basis of score in JEE Main exam are eligible to appear for JEE advanced exam. This exam is administered by the Joint Admission Board while an IIT is selected as an organizing institute for the particular academic year. For 2014 exam, IIT Kharagpur is the organizing institute.

JEE Advanced 2015 Important Dates:


Start date for online registration- May 02, 2015 (Sunday)
Last date for online registration- May 07, 2015  (Thursday)
Date of Examination- May 24, 2015 (Sunday) 
Download of Admit Card- May 09-12, 2015 (Sunday to Thursday)
Schedule of Exam

a) First session: 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM
b) Second session: 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM

Result- June 18, 2015 (Thursday)


Eligibility for JEE (ADVANCED) 2015 EXAM:- 

Educational Qualification- Qualified JEE Main 2015 candidates are eligible to apply. 
Age- The age limit for candidates is 25 years of age.
Relaxations in age- 5 years in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Number of attempts- Two consecutive attempts.


How to Apply: Candidates are required to register online through JEE Advanced 2015 online application form. The procedure for application is similar to application for JEE Main 2015 Exam. After completing online registration process candidates are required to payment of application fee. This can be done through challan generated during registration process. Application fee needs to be at an SBI branch providing Core Banking Services (CBS).

JEE Advanced Selection Process:  Applicants will be selected on the basis All India Merit Rank obtained in the examination. Please note that candidates must be in the top 20 percentile (category wise) in their respective Boards/Qualifying Examinations to be considered for admission to IIT.

  • Please note that seats at JEE Advanced Participating Institutes will allocated strictly on the basis of performance in the All India JEE 2014 Advanced Exam.
  • Admission will be made on the basis of category rank, choices indicated by the applicant during counselling.
  • The names of other participating institutes accepting score will be published later.
  • Candidates are required to contact these institutes directly for admission.
