•Senior/Junior Translators in the Ministry of Defence
Age Limit for candidates as on 01.01.2014: The age limit for candidates is 30 years.
Upper Age-Relaxation:-
•SC/ST - 5 years
•OBC - 3 years
Educational Qualification for SSC Junior Hindi Translator Recruitment 2014:-
For vacancies of Junior Hindi Translators(in Subordinate Offices) -
Masters Degree in English or Hindi with Hindi or English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level from a recognized university. OR Bachelors degree of a recognized university or equivalent with English and Hindi as main subjects.
For the vacancies of Hindi Pradhyapak (in Central Hindi Training Insutitute) -
Masters degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level as either compulsory or optional paper from recognized university. Bachelors degree in education from a recognized university. Two years experience of Teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary Level.
For the vacancies of Senior Translator and Junior Translator (in Ministry of Defence) -
Master’s degree from a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at the degree level; or Master’s degree or a recognized university in English with Hindi as compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level.
Application Fee: Rs 100 (ruppees one hundred only).

Interested and eligible candidates are required to download application form from SSC's official website. Filled in application form complete in all respects should be sent to the Regional / Sub-Regional Offices of the Commission (mentioned in point 07. of the notification).
