Union Bank Specialist Officers Recruitment 2014 Notification, Application Procedure
Union Bank has notified Union Bank Specialist Officer Recruitment 2014 for 02 vacancies of Economist in Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II) and 40 vacancies of Security Officer in Junior Management Grade Scale-II (JMGS-I). A total of 42 vacancies have been notified for recruitment. Eligible and interested candidates wishing to apply for this latest Union Bank Recruitment are required to submit the application online between 21-04-2014 and 05-05-2014. General Eligibility:-
An aspirant must be an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
A tibetan refugee who has migrated to India before Jan 01, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling down in India.
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India are eligible to apply.
Eligibility for the post of Economist
a) Educational qualification
- Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60 percent marks (55 percent marks in case of SC/ST and physically disabled candidates).
- Post Graduate degree in Economics/ Econometrics with minimum 55 percent marks (50 percent marks in case of SC/ST and physically disabled candidates).
b) Additional qualification:
A Certificate Course in Computer Awareness and Office Automation for duration of minimum 60 hours from a reputed Computer Training Institute, which will be waived where 'Computers' is a part of the curriculum at the Graduation / Post - Graduation Level.
c) Post qualification experience/Work Experience:-
Minimum three years of work experience as an Economist/ Economic Officer/ Research Officer / Economic Analyst in an scheduled commercial bank/public sector undertaking/Private organization in financial sector including mutual funds, insurance companies, brokerage house etc.
d) Age Limit: 21 to 35 years of age.

- Tracking micro economic developments focusing on monetary and fiscal policies.
- Study latest trends in banking.
- Balance Sheet Management.
- Support Investor Relations Team.
- Analyse performance of bank.
- Assist in preparation of various reports.
Eligibility for the post of Security Officer
a) Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60 percent marks.
b) Additional Qualification: A Certificate Course in Computer Awareness and Office Automation for duration of minimum 60 hours from a reputed Computer Training Institute, which will be waived where 'Computers' is a part of the curriculum at the Graduation /
Post - Graduation Level.
c) Post qualification experience/Work Experience: (any one of the following)
• Minimum 05 years as Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army or equivalent ranks in the Indian Airforce/Indian Navy.
• Minimum 05 years as Police Officer not below the rank of Inspector.
• Minimum 5 years as an Officer of identical ranks in paramilitary forces.
d) Age Limit: 21 to 35 years of age.
