Interested and eligible aspirants wishing to apply for Powergrid EXECUTIVE TRAINEE in Electrical 20th Batch through GATE 2015 Recruitment are required to apply and then appear for GATE 2015 Electrical Engineering (EE) paper. The selection of candidates will be on the basis of normalized score (out of 100) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Job Description:-
Candidates will be selected as Engineers in POWERGRID after the successful completion of one month of Training at POWERGRID worksites and training institutes.
• Planning, Design, engineering, quality assurance, inspection, erection, testing & commissioning Of 132 kV / 220 kV / 400 kV / 765 kV / 1200 kV /HVDC Sub-station, Transmission Line, Power system protective relays, substation automation system, Power Line Carrier Communication, SCADA system, Control & Instrumentation System, implementation of Smart Grid, Research & Development etc.
• Construction, operation, maintenance, erection, testing and commissioning, cost estimation, project cost control activities of EHVAC/HVDC, HVDC B/B Transmission System.
• Assignments related to Commercial, Engineering, Contracts & Materials, Load dispatch.
• Communication of Transmission System, System Operation, Telecom, etc.
• Co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders, etc.
• Any other related work assigned to individual from time to time.

Powergrid EXECUTIVE TRAINEE in Electrical 20th Batch through GATE 2015 Recruitment Application and Registration Instructions:-
1. Aspirants have to register themselves and appear for GATE 2015 in Electrical Discipline (Code EE).
2. Online Registration for GATE 2015 shall commence on 1st September 2014.
3. For details on GATE 2015, please visit http://gate.iitk.ac.in/GATE2015/
4. A separate notification with details regarding number of vacancies, important instructions regarding submission of POWERGRID online application, date of interview etc. shall be hosted on POWERGRID website, from 12th January 2015.
5. Application window for POWERGRID shall be open from 15th January 2015 to 27th February 2015. (Aspirants have to register themselves online at POWERGRID website with details of their GATE 2015 Application No., GATE 2015 Registration Number and other required information, which will be made available at CAREER section of www.powergridindia.com).
6. Aspirants will be required to retain their GATE 2015 Admit Card and Original GATE 2015 score card for verification at the time of GD/Interview and joining in POWERGRID.
7. Group Discussion and Personal Interview are likely to be conducted in the months of May – June 2015
Powergrid EXECUTIVE TRAINEE in Electrical 20th Batch through GATE 2015 Recruitment Selection Procedure:-
Interested & eligible candidates will have to appear for the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper of GATE 2015.
Candidates obtaining a valid score (Marks out of 100) shall only be eligible for the next stage of selection. The score is valid only if the candidate obtains more than or equal to the qualifying marks as fixed for the EE paper of GATE 2015.
The selection process will include the Normalized Marks (Out of 100) obtained by the eligible candidates in the EE paper of GATE 2015, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the candidates who qualify in the GATE paper and are shortlisted category wise for the GD and interview. Candidates shall have the option for appearing the Group Discussion/ Personal Interview in Hindi or English.
