Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) was founded in the year 2009 by Kapil Sibal in the Thiruvarur District Collectorate. It currently offers 5 Integrated Masters programmes, Masters and a Doctoral Programme.

Criteria for Admissions:-
• Applicants applying for any of the course in the university will be given admission on his/ her merit marks.

• In any of the circumstances, the eligibility rules specified by the university will not be relaxed and candidates need to follow them.

The university's current campus is spread over an area of 5 acre located in the Thiruvarur District Collectorate. Modest facilities with well equipped amenities are available such as library, labs, air conditioned classrooms, hostels for boys and girls, a branch of a public sector bank and canteen have also been housed in the same facility.
