India’s Navy newest employment notification is for Indian Navy Sailor Senior Secondary Recruit (Recruitment) 2014.Sailors who complete successful training at INS Chilka will be allotted a branch. Please note that candidates will be allotted branches based on proficiency and requirement of service. The intital engagement for Senior Secondary Recruit is 15 years.Important dates for this Recruitment:-
• Start date for registration of online application: November 23, 2013 (Friday).
• Last date for registration of online application: December 06, 2013 (Friday).
• Last date for receipt of hardcopy of application: December 15, 2013 (Sunday).
• **Last date for receipt of hardcopy of application: December 22,2013 (Sunday).
**This is with reference to candidates of north eastern states, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep and Minicoy islands.
Current Opportunity:-
• Post: Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) Sailor
• Organization: Indian Navy
• General Eligibility: Unmarried Indian citizen or subjects of Bhutan or Nepal.
• Age: Those born between August 01, 1993 and 31st July 1997 are eligible to apply. (Inclusive of both dates).
• Academic Aptitude: Class 12 or equivalent qualification with subjects of Maths and Physics and atleast one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science.
• Stipend during training: Rs 5,700 pm.
• Pay: Rs 5,200-20,200/- (Grade pay Rs 5,200).
• Promotion: Upto the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I (equivalent to Subedar Major).
Training:-
•Commencement of Course- August 2014
• Stages of Training
a) 24 weeks of basic training at INS Chilka
b) Followed by professional training in allotted trade at different naval training establishments or branches.
Procedure of Application:-

• For Indian Navy Sailor SSR Recruitment 2014 you are required to apply online only.
• Keep 10+2 Marksheet ready before procedure of application.
• A valid email ID is important for application.
a) Log on www.nausena-bharti.nic.in
b) Click on “Sailor Entry” button under “Apply online” on home page of the website.
c) Fill up application form correctly.
d) Before form submission kindly recheck details carefully.
e) Click the “Submit” button to complete application.
f) Print two copies of the online application form.
g) One duly filled form along with copies of important documents should be sent with one self addressed envelope of size 22x10 cms with Rs 10 stamp affixed on the envelope.
h) Write on Envelope- “Online SSR Application-02/14 batch.”
i) Please note that attesting officer’s name with office address and seal should be clear and legible.
j) Applications should be sent by ordinary post.
Important attachments:-
• Attested copies of matriculation certificate.
• Attested copies of class 12 Marksheet.
• NCC Certificate (if applicable).
