Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Admission 2015 Notification, Eligibility, Application Procedure
Rashtriya Military Schools are known for high standards of quality education coupled with highly qualified teaching faculty. The concept of continous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) has improved the academic standards of RMS schools in India.
Rashtriya Military Schools located at Bangalore, Belgaum (Karnataka) Ajmer, Dholpur (Rajasthan) and Chail (Himachal Pradesh) have jointly advertised notification for Rashtriya Military School Admission 2015. Applications are invited for admission to classes VI to XI. Following is a detailed admission guide for RMS Admission.
Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Admission Eligibility:
For VI:-
• Age: - Boys aged between 10 and 12 years as on 1st July of year of admission are eligible.
• Education:- Should have passed Class V from a government/recognized school before the date of admission. However, a student studying in class V is eligible to appear in the entrance test.
For Class IXth & XI:-
• Age:- Boys aged between 13 and 15 years for class IXth and boys between 15 to 17 years of age for Class XIth as on 1st July of year of admission are eligible.
• Education:- Should have passed in Class VIII for class IXth and passed Class X for Class XI from a government/recognized school before the date of admission. However, a student studying in class VIIIth and Class IXth is eligible to appear in the entrance test.
Entrance Exam for RMS Admission:-
The Entrance Exam for RMS Admission will be an automated OMR based test with sections of Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English of Class V Standard.
Reservation of Vacancies
• 70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army , Navy and AF ( including Ex servicemen)
• 30% for wards of Officers of Army, Navy and AF (including retired Officers) and wards of civilians.
• 50 seats are reserved for wards of service personnel Killed in Action.
Note: 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST in all categories.
Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Admission Applications Form and Procedure:
Prospectus and Application forms can be obtained from any of the Rashtriya Military Schools by paying Rs 350/-(Rs 175/- in case of SC/ST). A copy of Caste certificate is to be submitted in this respect).
Applicants are required to forward self addressed envelope of size 31 cm x 25 cm affixed with Rs 60/- stamp for Prospectus and application form along with Demand Draft for the amount payable at respective Rashtriya Military School ( in favour of “ Principal , Rashtriya Military School”). ALL APPLICATIONS WILL ONLY ROUTED THROUGH RASHTRIYA MILITARY SCHOOLS.
