All candidates who have completed registration successfully can download hall tickets from official website. Please note that admit cards are not sent by post to any candidate.

You are required to affix recent passport sized photograph on hall ticket. Please note that the photograph affixed on the card should be clear. The document needs to be attested by a gazette officer. While appearing for the written examination you are required to carry PSTET-I and PSTET-II as and when applicable. Please carry a valid ID proof in the form of Driving Liscense/Passport/Voter card/Pan card/Aadhar card along with exam card.

The link for Download Online Admit card for PSTET exam will be active from December 18, 2013 after 08:00 pm.

As mentioned every eligible candidate can download admit card and appear at examination center for the exam. After taking printout of admit card please go through particulars carefully. In any case of any difficult please contact the Special Examination branch of SCERT Punjab.

Following is step by step procedure to apply online for PSTET application form.

STEP 01: Online registration- Eligible candidates wishing to apply for PSTET paper I or paper II and both are required to apply online on PSTET official website. Before online registration please keep the following documents in hand (recent testimonials, scanned passport sized photograph and signature). Candidates wishing to apply for PSTET Paper I or Paper II need not apply separately. Single registration is sufficient. You are advised to fill information carefully as no changes would be possible after successful registration.

STEP 02: Upload of Photograph and signature- It is compulsory for candidates to upload passport sized photograph and signature in order to complete registration process carefully. Printing of confirmation page is not possible without upload of photograph and signature. The file size of both documents should be less than 1MB.

STEP 03: Printing of Bank Challan- After successful registration you are required to make payment of examination fee. You are required to take two copies of bank challan (one for you and the other for the bank). After taking a print of the bank challan you can deposit the fee at the concerned bank. Payment of application fee can also be made through credit card.

STEP 04: Confirmation of Examination Fee- After 48 hours of deposition of examination fee, fee status will be updated on login page. Please note that you can proceed to the next step only if you complete confirmation of examination fee.

STEP 05: Dispatching of confirmation page- First sign on the specified space on confirmation page. Please take a photocopy of the confirmation page for future reference. The Confirmation Page must be dispatched in an envelope of size 12 x 9. You are required to paste address slip on the envelope superscribing APPLICATION FOR PSTET. The following needs to be sent to Post Box No.1828, Post Office Sector 62, and Mohali (Punjab) PIN 160062 through ordinary post.

Points to be noted:-

• If you find any difficulty in applying for PSTET you can contact PSTET helpline 1860-180-1814 from Monday to Saturday between 09:00 am to 06:00 pm. Support center facility is  available for all candidates.
• You are required to keep application number and password secretive. Please do not disclose this information to anyone.
• Candidates who have deposited examination fee and fulfill eligibility criteria will be eligible to appear for the exam.

PSTET Syllabus can be broadly classified as follows

PSTET Syllabus for Paper I (Classes I to V) Primary Section
• PSTET Syllabus for Paper II (Classes VI to VII) Upper Primary Section)

The syllabus for the exam is sectionwise analogy of topics.  The course of study broadly specifies the topics that need to be covered under section. Topics like Child Pedagogy, Langugages, maths, science and environmental science are familiar to teaching aspirants as they form part of the syllabus of Bachelors and diploma courses in teaching.

Please note that the questions in paper I will be based on the topics prescribed for Class IV. However the standard of difficulty as well as linkages could be upto the secondary stage.
