How to apply for IGIT Admission 2014-15 ?

a)Candidate may apply for admission through online or off line (OMR) application for M.Tech & Ph.D Programmes.
b) Prospectus and application form for IGIT Admission 2014 would be available for sale at various branches of Punjab and Sindh Bank in Delhi from March 20, 2014  (Thursday). The cost for both is Rs 750/-.
c) Online submission of forms for M.Tech and PhD programmes would commence from March 15, 2014 (Saturday).
d) Interested applicants can apply online on http://www.igdtuw.ac.in or http://www.igit.ac.in

IGIT Admission procedure 2014

1) B.Tech Programmes

•Candidates would be selected on the basis of JEE Main 2014 (score) and normalised score of class 12 exam.
•The merit list for centralized counselling will be prepared by CBSE.

2) M.Tech Programmes

• M.Tech (Regular): Based on merit cum GATE score.
• M.Tech (part-time): Applications are invited from working professionals.
• Lateral entry to M.Tech (part-time) program: Individuals with NIELIT ‘C’ level qualification are eligible to apply.

3) MCA Program

• Candidates are required to appear for CET Exam Code 105 conducted by GGS IP University
• The exam will be conducted on April 27, 2014 (Sunday) between 10:30 am to 01:00 pm
• Admission to this program shall be done through combined counselling conducted by GGSIP University.

4) PhD Programmes

• Admission shall be on the basis of Research Aptitude Test (RAT) or Interview or both.
• The RAT shall be conducted on 15th June 2014 at IGDTUW, Kashmere Gate Campus.

Seat Reservation for B.Tech Programmes

•85% of the total seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi Region
•15% of the total seats for candidates belonging to outside Delhi Region.
•Admission to B.Tech program will be done through on- line counseling to be notified in June 2014 shortly.

Examination fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs 400/-

Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Physically Impaired/ Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

Mode of Payment:-
•Applicants have to make payment of application fee at  nearest e- payment Post Offices, (listed under e - payment link of www.pasadrexam2014.in ) with printed payment challan.

•Candidates are required to  check his/her status of payment on the www.pasadrexam2014.in after 3 working days after payment of the fee. In case of Non- payment the application registered will not be considered for further process.

•Those who have registered the applications on the closing date of registration are permitted to pay the FEE till 1st April, 2014.

•Applicants after successful registration of the on- line Application are advised to keep print out of the “PREVIEW” of his Application, copy of fee challan, receipt issued by the Post office and Registration slip for any future reference.

Examination details:-

The examination for recruitment of Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistants in India Post shall consists of two sections

Paper I: Aptitude Test (100 Marks)
Paper II: Computer typing Test

Paper I: Aptitude Test
Duration: 120 minutes (Two hours)
Negative marking: No
Sections: General, Knowledge, General Mathematics of Class 10, English, Reasoning and analytical ability.

Syllabus and marks for aptitude Test:-

Part A - 25 Questions on General Knowledge - Questions on current events,  sports, history, geography, basic economics, general politics, Indian  Constitution, Science environment etc (25 marks).

Part B - 25 Questions on Mathematics of matriculation standard which may  cover number system, simplification, decimals, corrections, simple and  compound interest, percentage, average, profit and loss, discount,  menstruation, Time & work and time & distance etc. (25 Marks)

Part C - 25 questions on English covering grammar (prepositions, adverbs,  conjunction, direct/indirect speech, singular & plural, tenses,  antonyms/synonyms etc. (25 Marks)

Part D - 25 Questions on Reasoning and analytical Ability. (25 marks)

Paper II: Computer Typing Test

Duration: 30 minutes (half an hour)

Sections: 15 minutes for typing and 15 minutes for data entry
Task: Passage of 450 words in English or 375 words in Hindi to be completed in the given time.
Minimum: 30 wpm and 25 wpm respectively.
Marking: Based on speed and accuracy.

NOTE: This is a combined test as such marks in both sections will be considered for qualification.
