About EAMCET 2015:

Marks in the class 12 exam do matter, but admission to  professional courses like engineering and medicine is easier said than done. 
There are many takers for a limited number of seats and such it is important for aspirants to take an entrance exam. EAMCET is one such exam.

EAMCET is a combined science aptitude test conducted for admission to undergraduate programs in Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine. This exam is administered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE). The exam is a necessity for students wishing to gain admission into specialized courses offered by government and private universities and colleges in the state. AP EAMCET also features among the top 10 science exams students can take after class 12.

Eligibility for EAMCET:-

a. Educational Qualification for Agriculture and Medical Courses (AM):  10+2 or intermediate exam or equivalent from a recognized board or university

  • Subjects: Physical sciences, biological or natural science, agriculture
  • Aggregate: 50 percent marks in case of general category candidates
  • Relaxation: 40 percent marks in case of SC/ST candidates
  • Age Limit: 17 to 25 years as on 31st December of the year.

b.  Educational  Qualification for Engineering (E): Should have passed or appeared for 10+2 from Andhra Pradesh Board of intermediate education or any recognized board.
 

  • Subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as associated vocational or elective course
  • Aggregate: 45 percent marks in case of general category candidates
  • Relaxation: 40 percent marks in case of SC/ST candidates
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit, however the minimum age for candidates is 16 years.

How to Apply:-

STEP by STEP Procedure for applying for EAMCET Exam 2014

  • STEP 01- Log on to EAMCET official website.
  • STEP 02- Fill EAMCET online application form
  • STEP 03- Check the form and edit changes if any.
  • STEP 04- Press the submit button on completion of the online application procedure
  • STEP 05- Note the registration number generated by the system.

Required documents for application:-

  • Hall ticket Number of the Qualifying Examination
  • Birth Certificate / SSC or Equivalent Certificate.
  • Hall ticket No. of SSC or Equivalent examination Certificate - SSC or Equivalent Certificate.
  • Local Status (OU/AU/SVU/ Non-local)
  • Income of Parents (income is less than Rs. 2.0 lakhs or more than Rs. 2.0 lakhs)
  • Category (SC, ST, BC. etc.)
  • Special Category (NCC, PH, Sports, CAP etc.)

EAMCET Application Fee:  EAMCET application fee can be paid through any one of the following means

  • AP Online
  • E-Seva
  • CSC Services

The registration fee for one paper is Rs 250/- and the registration fee for both papers is Rs 500/-.

  1. Duration: 3 hours
  2. Total Number of Marks: 160 marks
  3. Total Number of Questions: 160 questions
