The Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a Central University that was established by an Act of the Indian Parliament in the year 2008. It is the only university in the country, dedicated to imparting quality education in the maritime field.

Here students may find the admission procedure followed for different courses offered by the university.
How to apply:-
• Students can apply to IMU by downloading the admission form from the official website of the university or one can collect the prospectus cum application form from the university campus itself.
• All the documents, admission fees and form must be submitted by the applicants in the admin office on or before the last date.
Mode of Payment:-
Students can pay the registration as well as course fees through Bank Challan of SBI Bank.

Criteria for Admissions:-
• Admission will be done strictly on the merit basis of IMU-CET conducted by the university itself.
• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested must be submitted during the time of admission.
• University has set some definite rules for each of the courses offered and is asked to be tracked by the applicants.
Results:-
Results for the varied courses offered are generally announced depending upon the exams conducted. Students can view their results online through the official website of the university.

The Institute campus is built in an area with neither the benefits of an urban infrastructure nor the constraints of the cityscape. Campus includes High-speed data communications, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, library with a broad range of titles, popular magazines and journals relevant to maritime disciplines, mechanical engineering, computers and the basic sciences, fully air-conditioned auditorium, sports complex and many more.
