Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a public university founded by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in the year 1875 which was earlier designed to train Muslims for government service in India and prepare them for advanced training in British universities.

• Students can apply to AMU by downloading the admission form from the official website of the university or one can collect the prospectus cum application form from the university campus itself.
• During the time of admission, students must acknowledge all the certificates and registration fees along with the application form.

Criteria for Admissions:-
• University admits students for any of the courses either through entrance test or on the basis of qualifying merit marks.
• The University reserves the right to get any student medically examined and if found medically unfit, the admission of such student will be cancelled.
• Eligibility rules as specified for each course shall be strictly followed and shall not be relaxed under any circumstance.
• Application Forms shall not be transferred from one course of study to another under any circumstance.
Results:-
Results for the varied courses offered are generally announced depending upon the exams conducted. Students can view their results online through the official website of the university.

Magnificently architected university campus is ramble over an area of 1,154 acres of green and bushy land situate in the city of Aligarh known for business centre of Uttar Pradesh. The architecture of an academic building ranges from Islamic to contemporary.
