All India Institute of Medical Sciences was founded in the year 1956 to develop patterns of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all the branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and allied institutions in India.

AIIMS Admissions 2014-2015:
Here students may find the admission procedure followed for different courses offered by the university.
How to apply:-
• Students can apply to AIIMS by downloading the admission form from the official website of the university or one can collect the prospectus cum application form from the university campus itself.
• Duly filled form, registration fees, required certificates and other documents must be submitted to the office on or before the last date of the submission.
• Registration fees: Rs. 1000/-
Criteria for Admissions:-
• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested must be submitted during the time of admission.
• Eligibility rules as specified for each course shall be strictly followed and shall not be relaxed under any circumstance.
• Admission will be done strictly on the basis of merit marks in the entrance exam conducted by AIIMS.
