Kumaun University, a residential-cum-affiliating university, was founded in the year 1973 under the Act of State Legislature and is a permanent member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

How to apply:-
• Students can apply to University by downloading the admission form from the official website of the university or one can collect the prospectus cum application form from the university campus itself.
• Along with the form, students also have to submit the certificates asked by the university and the registration fees at the time of admission.

Criteria for Admissions:-
• Admission in the university is concluded on the merit marks of the candidates.
• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested must be submitted during the time of admission.
