University of Mumbai is one of the first three oldest public state universities in India founded in the year 1857. and was the only Indian University in the list. It offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees apart from diplomas and certificates in many disciplines.

How to apply:-
• Students can apply to Mumbai University by downloading the admission form from the official website of the university or one can collect the prospectus cum application form from the university campus itself.
• All the required documents prescribed by the University for the Relevant Course must be acknowledged along with the application form before the due date.
Admission Form
Criteria for Admissions:-
• Students will be selected for any of the courses only on the basis of merit marks.
• Along with the merit marks, university will also follow the eligibility criteria set for each of the courses offered by them.
• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested must be submitted during the time of admission.
Syllabus:-

Students can view results for any of the courses online through the official website of the university.

Mumbai University is sprawled over huge acres of land in the heart of city Mumbai. Each branch has its own building and laboratories and each department has their own libraries and computer facilities. The campus has an auditorium, on-campus hospital, a library, a canteen, playground, gymnasium, ATM facility, a post office, an STD/ISD phone booth, etc.
Special Features:-
• University was ranked 41 among the Top 50 Engineering Schools of the world by America's news broadcasting firm Business Insider in 2012.
• It was also ranked 5th in the list of best Universities in India by India Today in the year 2013.
• In 2012, it was awarded a CGPA of 3.05 out of 4 and the highest rating ("A" grade) by the NAAC for its overall performance.
•The University Grants Commission also accorded the University of Mumbai with the status of ''University with Potential for Excellence".
• It has two post-graduate centers, 354 affiliated colleges, and 36 departments.
