Postman - 248 posts
Mail Guards in Railway Mail Services - 10 posts
Eligibility:-
Age Limit - 08 to 27 years
Age Relaxation - SC/ST - 5 years and OBC 3 years
Educational Qualification:-
Postman - Matriculation from recognized board or university
Mail Guard - Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board or university
Procedure for Application:-
1. Applicants wishing to apply for India Post Karnataka Postal Circle Postman and Mail Guard recruitment 2013 are required to apply in the format prescribed by the department.
2. Format of applications are available across all post offices as well as can be downloaded from www.indiapost.gov.in or www.karnatakapost.gov.In/indiapost.
3. Application submitted in any other format will be rejected.
4. Application along with the original e-payment receipt issued by post office/IPO should be sent through speed post.
5. Envelope used for the same should be super scribed with title “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF POSTMAN/MAILGUARD.”
6. Copies of certificates and testimonials should be submitted with application form.
7. The application should also include two self addressed envelopes of size 9’x4’ with postage stamp of Rs 17 for local and Rs 40/- for outstation for dispatch of admit cards.
Procedure of Selection: The procedure of selection consists of written test.
