Pune University MCom Course is of two years divided into two parts, Part I and II with  four semesters. The course follows semester pattern with credit system and has an intake capacity of 60 seats. Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun Admission 2015 Notification, Application Procedure

Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun is an inter service institute under the Ministry of Defence. RIMC is dedicated towards providing education to boys aged between 11 ½ and 18 years of age. These aspirants are selected through an all India competitive examination. The institute prepares candidates for admission to National Defence Academy and NAVAC Academy. If in any case an aspirant does not wish to join these institutes RIMC guarantees full academic support  so that candidate can take admission into any academic course in India.

RIMC Dehradun conducts written entrance exam for admission. Admissions are made to Class VIII only

RIMC Dehradun Admission Eligibility:


Age:-  RIMC Admission is bi-annual i.e., in January and July each year. Candidates (boys only) should not be less than 11 years and 6 months of age but must not have attained the age of 13 years on 01 January (for the term commencing January) and 01 July (for the term commencing July). The process for admission starts one year in advance.

Education:-

Admissions are made to class I (equivalent to class VIII) only. The student should be studying in class VII in a recognized school at the time of admission to RIMC. They should also be medically fit for entry to the college in accordance with medical standards.

Vacancies:-

Generally one vacancy per state is reserved for candidates. However states like UP, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu West Bengal and Maharashtra will have two vacancies each.

Test Paper Pattern:- Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in an All-India Examination held twice a year. The general standard of questions in the entrance examination is of class VII.

There are two sections for the entrance exam :-

Written: - The written part of the examination consists of a test paper in English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks), and General Knowledge (75 marks). Candidates can appear for the Mathematics test in Hindi or English Medium. General Knowledge can be answered in English and Hindi. To qualify, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 50 % Marks in each subject of the entrance test.

Oral (Viva Voce) :- The oral examination consists of a Viva Voce test of 50 marks, which is designed to assess a candidate's intelligence, personality and confidence.

Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Admission 2015 Notification, Eligibility, Application Procedure

Rashtriya Military Schools are CBSE associated residential schooling institutions for boys studying in classes VI to XII. Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Admission Eligibility:


For VI:-

• Age: - Boys aged between 10 and 12 years as on 1st July of year of admission are eligible.
• Education:- Should have passed Class V from a government/recognized school before the date of admission. However, a student studying in class V is eligible to appear in the entrance test.

For Class IXth & XI:-

• Age:- Boys aged between 13 and 15 years for class IXth and boys between 15 to 17 years of age for Class XIth as on 1st July of year of admission are eligible.
• Education:- Should have passed in Class VIII for class IXth and passed Class X for Class XI from a government/recognized school before the date of admission. However, a student studying in class VIIIth and Class IXth is eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Entrance Exam for RMS Admission:-

The Entrance Exam for RMS Admission will be an automated OMR based test with sections of Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English of Class V Standard.

Reservation of Vacancies

• 70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army , Navy and AF ( including Ex servicemen)
• 30% for wards of Officers of Army, Navy and AF (including retired Officers) and wards of civilians.
• 50 seats are reserved for wards of service personnel Killed in Action.

Note: 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST in all categories.

PRIORITIES IN ADMISSION

The following priorities shall be followed in KVS Admission 2015:-     
  
(A) KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS UNDER CIVIL/DEFENCE SECTOR:

PRIORITY IN ADMISSION WILL BE PROVIDED TO-

• Children of transferable and non-transferable central government employees and children of ex- servicemen.  This will also include children of foreign national officials, who come on deputation or transfer to India on invitation by Government of India.
• Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of  Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertaking/Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India.
• Children of transferable and non-transferable State Government employees.
• Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector Undertakings/Institute of Higher Learning of State Governments.
• Children from any other category including the children of foreign nationals who are located in India due to their work or for any personal reasons.

The Children of Foreign Nationals would be considered only if there are no Indian Nationals on the waitlist for admission.

Note: Preference in Admission for children will be based on number of transfers in the last seven years.

(B)   KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS UNDER PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKINGS/ INSTITUTES OF HIGHER LEARNING:

PRIORITY IN ADMISSION WILL BE PROVIDED-

• Children and grandchildren of employees of the Public Sector Undertakings/Institutes of Higher learning who are sponsors of Vidyalaya.
• Children of project employees & Post Graduate students who are working on long term research projects.
• Children of regular Council of Wardens (COW) employees.

Children and Grand Children of retired employees to be included in category I for the purpose of admission.

1.  The priorities criteria for Kendriya Vidyalayas under Civil/Defence Sectors (Para 3 (A)) will follow in the same sequence, thereafter.
2. Children of employees of Institutes of Higher learning who had to discontinue school to accompany parents going out of station on sabbatical leave/long leave, over and above the class strength.

The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in case of physically challenged children by the Principal.

There is no age restriction for admission to Class XI provided the student is seeking admission in the year of passing Class X examination. Similarly, there will be no upper & lower age limit for admission to class XII provided there has been no break in the continuous study of the student after passing class X/XI.

Reservations:

 
SCHEDULE CASTE AND SCHEDULE TRIBE CATEGORY:-  15% seats for Scheduled Caste and 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes shall be reserved in all fresh admissions in all Kendriya Vidyalayas.

PHYSICALLY HANDICAPED CATEGORY:- 3% seats of total available seats for fresh admission will be horizontally reserved for Differently Abled-children, visually challenged, orthopedically and hearing impaired etc.

ADMISSION FOR CLASS X AND XII

Admissions to class X & XII for students other than those from Kendriya Vidyalaya, will be entertained subject to availability of vacancies. Such admissions to class X and XII will be considered by the concerned Deputy Commissioner of the Region. This is applicable if the average strength in class X/XII is below 40.

Admission for Class X and XII will be subject to the following conditions:    

I) The child has been in the same course of studies i.e. in a CBSE-affiliated school. 

ii) The child must have obtained not less than 6.5 CGPA in class IX (CGPA be calculated as per formula applied by CBSE in class X). For admission to class XII 55% marks in class XI examination is mandatory.
   
iii) The child should OTHERWISE be eligible as per KVS admission guidelines.

iv)  The combinations of subjects opted by the student are available on Kendriya Vidyalaya’s website.

Osmania University awards PhD degree in faculties of arts, commerce, management, education, law, social science, oriental languages, science and technology, pharmacy,engineering, informatics and other allied branches. Applicants with a post graduate degree in regular or distance mode from recognized university or institute are eligible to apply. Admission is based on entrance test followed by interview. Awardees of research fellowship namely UGC CSIR, ICMR and ICAR and GATE/SLET and UGC CSIR NET qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for the entrance test.

Osmania University PhD Eligibility Criteria:


Post-Graduate Degree, from a recognized University or a Post Graduate Degree through Distance mode from a recognized university and approved by the Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi, in the concerned subject or in an allied subject approved by the Osmania University are eligible to apply. The minimum aggregate for candidates is 55 percent or equivalent CGPA (50 percent in case of SC/ST candidates).

Osmania University PhD Selection Procedure:


Selection will be made through  Ph.D Eligibility Test.

However, the following categories are exempted from appearing the OU Ph.D. eligibility test:

a) Those who are awarded research fellowship in a National Level Test namely UGC/CSIR (JRF), ICMR, ICAR Research Fellowship Test.

Following is the categories of candidates registered for Madras University PhD Programmes

01. Full Time Scholar (with or without stipend)
02. Part Time Scholar (teacher or non teacher, internal vis external)

Candidates under both categories are successfully awarded PhD degree based on original and independent research in particular discipline of study. Registrations for Madras University PhD may be done any time during the year but is suitable that candidates submit their applications on or before the first working days of quarter that is in the months of January,April, July and October. Madras University PhD Eligibility Criteria:


Master’s Degree with 55% marks in the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates and for candidates who have completed the PG degree before 1991, the minimum aggregate is 50 percent.

Selection will be done through entrance test conducted by the university

Candidates with fellowship from the UGC, CSIR / Project Fellow appointed in the major research project from funding agency / and teachers working in affiliated colleges are exempted from appearing for entrance test.
