Jawaharlal Nehru University features in prominent list of best PhD universities in India. The university's following schools of learning offer Phd programmes in various interdisciplinary as well as allied subjects. JNU PhD admission is based on entrance exam conducted by the university.NET qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for the common entrance test conducted and are granted direct admission. Candidates wishing to apply for JNU PhD admission are required to do so online. Application of candidates whose results are awaited would not be considered for admission.

SCHOOL OF LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND CULTURE STUDIES:-

PhD In French, German, Arabic, Russian, Persian, Chinese, Urdu, Hindi, Tamil, Hindi Translation, English, Linguistics, Japanese, Korean And Spanish.

SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES:-

JNU PhD Eligibility Criteria:


M.Phil / Masters degree in the subject concerned with at least 50% marks.

JNU PhD Selection Procedure:


The University will hold Entrance Examination for admission to various full-time programmes.
