BITS Pilani PhD Admission is conducted for the following subjects of Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Economics and Finance, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy, Physics, Languages and Humanities.Admission is also conducted for interdisciplinary specializations such as Biotechnology, Energy, Environment, Robotics, Nano-science and Nano-technology, Water Management, Public Health etc. Admission is based on written test and interview.Industries and Research organizations collaborating with BITS can also sponsor candidates to work for PhD under 'Aspirants Scheme.'
BITS Pilani PhD Eligibility Criteria:
Any Higher Degree of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
Any applicant with qualification equivalent to Integrated first degree of BITS will be first examined for suitability to one of the higher degree programmes of the Institute. Such candidates may first be admitted to the M.E./M.Phil. programmes offered by the Institute subject to the eligibility conditions.
BITS Pilani PhD Selection Procedure:
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test/interview. Selected candidates will be given financial assistance in the form of either a fellowship of any government agency or of the Institute, project or teaching assistantship, full/partial tuition waiver or a combination of these. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and any other developmental activities of the Institute under the guidance of a mentor.
