IISc Bangalore PhD Admission 2014-15 Notification | Entrance Exam Date | Eligibility |
Indian Institute of Science is known for its integrated PhD programmes in Biological Sciences, Chemical and physical sciences, mathematic sciences and other allied disciplines. Candidates with a bachelors degree in relevant discipline are eligible to apply. IISc Phd Admission is based on the performance in any of the national or state level tests followed by interview conducted by the institute.
(a)Holders of Master’s degree or its equivalent in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary Science/ Agriculture/ Humanities.
(b) Holders of Master’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture.
(c)Holders of Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering/Technology/ Medicine/ Architecture/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary Science/ Agriculture.
(d) Bachelor’s degree holders in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science /Electronics followed by qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE as being equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
(e)Holders of MBA or its equivalent subsequent to BE/B Tech, for admission to the department of Management Studies only.
Qualifying in one of the following appropriate Tests (with validity) is mandatory : CSIR-UGC NET for JRF; or UGC-NET for JRF; or DBT JRF; or ICMR JRF; or JEST; or NBHM ; or IISc Entrance Test ; or GATE or INSPIRE fellows (for Ph D).
IISc Bangalore PhD Eligibility Criteria:
