The University of Pune offers research degree programmes in interdisciplinary subjects. According to the stipulations of Pune University PhD Admission a candidate shall work in a recognized place of research this includes a university department, research institute, or an affiliate college of the university.Pune University PhD admission is based on entrace test conducted by the university. Candidates with a valid scores in national level competitive examinations like GATE, GPAT, SET/NET/JRF and SRF fellowship programmes are exempted from appearing for the entrance test. Pune University PhD Eligibility Criteria:
a)Post Graduate Degree(Master Degree) qualification with at least 50% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average(GPA).
b) Post-Graduate Degree (Master Degree) in law with atleast 55 marks or equivalent grade point average (GPA).
c) 5% relaxation for reserve category students of Maharashtra State only.
Pune University PhD Selection Procedure:
Selection will be based on entrance test conducted by the university.
Exemption from appearing for Written Test:-
i.Qualified candidates of GATE/GPAT/SET/NET/JRF/SRF Examinations of apex bodies such as CSIR/UGC/ICRA/ICMR/DBT and DST inspire fellowship only.
ii. M. Phil degree completed from any Statutory Recognized University in a relevant subject.
